On May 5th, 2000, Juan and Maria Piña poured their hearts into this dream, working long hours, seven days a week, to build something of their own. Cancun started as a small, humble restaurant serving home-style Mexican dishes to the Fort Worth community. With limited resources but unlimited determination, they turned a quiet corner into a gathering place full of flavor, warmth, and family.
As the restaurant grew, so did the passion behind it. Throughout the 2010s, we continued to show up every single day, still working the kitchen, still greeting our amazing regulars by name, and always looking for ways to make Cancun better. From updating recipes and improving service to remodeling the space, every decision was made with heart and hustle.
